vZKC covers over 130,000 miles of airspace, from southern Illinois to the eastern edge of Colorado. Our busier airports include Kansas City Intl (KMCI), Lambert-St. Louis Intl (KSTL), Wichita Mid-Continent (KICT) and Tulsa (KTUL). But there is so much more to our airspace. vZKC is also host to McConnell, Whiteman, Vance, and Scott Air Force Bases, as well as various air refuling routes. We have 22 civil airports with control towers, and over 100 small uncontrolled airports, with scenery from the flat plains of Kansas to the Ozark Mountains and accompanying lakes in southern Missouri.
